Google Pixel 8A Retail Box Emerges Showing Design, Model Number and 27W Charging

Many months passed since the launch of the Google Pixel 8 series, and the company now focuses on the next products it will release for the mobile field. Among the upcoming devices, the company has the Google Pixel 8A and the Google Pixel 9 series smartphones. While the Pixel 9 series is expected only for the end of the year, the Google Pixel 8a series will arrive earlier. Considering this, it’s not a surprise to see the first leaks popping out for the smartphone. Today, we have the leaked retail packaging box (via MySmartPrice) that emerged with some details about the new smartphone.

Google Pixel 8A Details Spotted in Leaked Retail Box

The latest leak shows images of the retail box of the upcoming Google Pixel 8A smartphone. The leak comes from a private Facebook Group by a Vietnamese user named Hung Nv. The retail box image confirms the design and fast charging details of the forthcoming smartphone. The retail box comes with images of the Google Pixel 8A showing its design with rounded corners. The corners are slightly more rounder than the Google Pixel 7A. The images fall in line with the leaked renders from OnLeaks and SmartPrix.

The images also show the phone’s back with a dual rear camera setup in a rectangular camera island. The design is very similar to the Google Pixel 7A. The Pixel 8A comes with a power button and volume rockers on the right side of the smartphone. Google will also ship the smartphone with the Google logo on the middle of the rear panel. The retail packaging confirms the smartphone bears the model number G6PR. It also confirms the phone with 27W wired fast charging.

The retail box reveals the Google Pixel 8A in its black color, but more color options are expected. The upcoming smartphone will measure 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm. The device will have a centered punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera. In terms of specifications, the phone will run on an underclocked version of the Google Tensor G3 chipset. The Octa-Core processor will be paired with the Mali-G715 GPU. On Geekbench, it scored about 1,218 points in Single-Core and 3,175 points in the Multi-core tests. Google will launch the smartphone with Android 14 straight out of the box.
